We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable accompanist to join our community choir. We are a welcoming ensemble dedicated to making great music and building community through singing.
Responsibilities:
● Accompany weekly rehearsals on piano.
● Accompany performances and special events throughout the season.
● Assist singers with learning notes, rhythms, and entrances during rehearsals.
● Collaborate with the Music Director to prepare repertoire.
● Attend occasional sectional rehearsals as needed.
Qualifications:
● Strong piano skills and sight-reading ability.
● Experience accompanying choirs, vocal ensembles, or musical groups
● Ability to work collaboratively with volunteer singers of varying experience levels.
● Dependable, organized, and enthusiastic about community music-making.
Schedule:
● Weekly rehearsals: Tuesdays 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
● Performance dates: 3 concerts per semester
● Season aligns with Craven Community College Fall and Spring Semesters
